Little Girl Blue
I finished this cardigan a few months ago now, and since then it has become one of my favourite sweaters! I love the design, lots of pretty cables and a great fit. Plus the yarn is scrummy - soft 100% wool in the most beautiful bright blue.

My new favourite thing I've ever made ever
Finishing a knitting project gives me a wonderful, warm feeling. It's a confidence boost - I feel like I could take on the world. The more complex the project, the bigger the project, and the better the finished result of the project, the stronger the feeling is.
Which is why my latest FO has me walking on air. It's taken me just over a month, it's my first top-down cardigan, and it looks absolutely gorgeous (pics to follow soon!).
The yarn is scrummy berocco alpaca in two shades of purple (one warm and plummy, the other cool and violet) and a soft grey. My dad and his girlfriend bought it for me for my birthday and posted it up here to Scotland (brown paper packages full of gorgeous yarn? YES!) so wearing it will always make me think of them. The buttons were a fantastic find, they are made out of slate grey pebbles from Scottish beaches and are available at K1 Yarns in Edinburgh.
The pattern, because I know you'll want to know!, is Cables and Garter Cardi by Tahira Probst (ravelry link). Perfect pattern, can't say enough good things about it. In fact, Ros has cast on this cardigan already to make her own!

March FOs by Rachel
Here are some of the pretty things I made in March. March is the month of my birthday, and it was a great month for knitting. I got lots of projects finished and I was generally very happy with them all.
Firstly I got some lovely leather buttons to finish up my heavily adapted Miss Moneypenny cardigan for Ros.
I think I chose the wrong yarn for this pattern, and the wrong size. Nonetheless I think the colour is nice and the buttons and ribbing are cute, and it was a VERY quick knit!
I also finished a sweater I'd been working on for Ian for over a year. I will never again knit a baggy garment for a tall, broad-shouldered person in plain grey sport-weight cotton.
